Chestify AI Labs is advancing AI-powered tele-radiology and diagnostic assistance platforms, applying artificial intelligence to transform healthcare access and medical imaging across Africa and the Caribbean. Founded by Mohammed Mustapha Zaidan and Michael Osei-Gyeabour, two engineers specialized in computer vision, biomedical imaging, and AI product management, the company addresses a critical gap — the lack of radiologists and diagnostic infrastructure in underserved communities. Leveraging deep learning and computer-vision algorithms trained on radiology and biomedical image datasets, Chestify enables clinics, hospitals, and mobile health units to detect and report pathologies faster and with greater accuracy. Its ecosystem includes the CARA AI Voice Assistant, a co-pilot for clinicians, and solar-powered mobile diagnostic trucks that deliver radiology services to rural populations. Through the Compute Accelerator’s Ready Track, Chestify AI Labs will optimize its diagnostic models using GPU cloud credits from AWS, Google, and IBM, while receiving mentorship on data management and product scaling. We are actively seeking strategic partnerships with the AI Hub for Sustainable Development and investors who care, have the technical capabilities and network to co-design and implement responsible AI governance frameworks, ensuring our life-saving technology is ethically deployed across diverse African contexts. This collaboration will also be crucial for securing follow-on investment and accessing high-quality, regionally-specific data sets to continuously refine our AI for maximum clinical impact.
